Building 30 beehives seemed like such a minor contribution. However, my husband and I later met a local Jamaican who provided a guided tour of the island. We saw firsthand the poverty and how so many live. We shared our Citigroup's beehive-building activity. Our guide was so touched by our generosity and idea of Citi's activity while we were traveling and he hoped we understood the impact and kindness of our contribution. However little it may have seemed to us, it was an appreciated gift. We wished we could have had the materials to build 100 hives!"
