Virtual Pandemic Relief

The dramatic spread of COVID-19 has disrupted lives, livelihoods and communities worldwide. As the coronavirus pandemic has spread globally, the outbreak has had a significant impact on the most vulnerable populations, including those who don’t have the option to shelter in place. Many donations of pandemic supplies have been made directly to health care professionals, relief workers and first responders, but what about the general population in under-resourced communities? Greater focus on under-resourced communities in the United States is urgently needed to ensure that all people can protect themselves and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic as they return to work.
 
Impact 4 Good partners with community service organizations to make sure vulnerable populations are cared for during the pandemic. This program allows us to come together to show our support in a unique way: via the donation of Pandemic Relief kits, along with a “message of hope” for each prepared kit.
 
Our host gets the group into the theme of the event by asking questions that make participants think about the challenges faced as businesses begin to reopen. Individuals get to work assembling their Pandemic Relief kits while on live video with their tablemates, writing a ”message of hope” for each kit they assemble. Each kit contains protective supplies including masks, hand wipes, personal bottle of hand sanitizer and more!
