Takin’ It To The Streets

A collaborative experience where your group ‘takes it to the streets’ and makes a lasting impact through a tangible donation or performed tasks with local charitable organizations.

During this approximately 2 to 4-hour activity, participants work in teams of 20-40 participants to help local charities on-site at their locations. Teams are matched with community organizations and pre-determined projects before arriving on-site, where they are educated on the importance of the beneficiary’s mission and then get to work volunteering to complete tasks. From painting classrooms, building furniture, planting gardens, replacing old light bulbs with higher efficiency bulbs, landscaping, assembling bookshelves, packing food…the sky’s the limit! Project options are determined during a discovery phase when Impact 4 Good polls potential beneficiaries on their needs.

While on-site, teams also have to use a “creativity budget” to purchase something they believe would enhance the work the beneficiary does for its community. If time is available, after completing the on-site segment of the program, teams reconvene at the meeting venue alongside representatives from their respective organizations. Each team takes the stage to discuss their experience (with pictures as a backdrop) and how they used their creativity budget. Following these presentations, the jury of beneficiary representatives deliberates to determine which team has crafted the most imaginative and impactful enhancement of the day.
