Some of the most fond memories children carry with them from school into their adulthood is the wonder they felt working on a science experiment. Cultivating curiosity in children by promoting STEAM education creates the scientists, engineers, and healthcare professionals of the future.

This program is a fast-paced teambuilding activity which results in a donation of hands-on classroom materials supporting  STEAM education curriculum for local schools or after school programs.

As the activity begins, our lead facilitator shares information about the importance of STEAM education and the work of the beneficiary organization in the local community. Teams take part in a science-themed, myth-busters icebreaker challenge designed to put them in the right frame of mind for the activity and to test their knowledge in the areas of science that will be explored during the event.

Next, it’ll be just like you’re back in your elementary and middle school science class as teams of “lab partners” build hot air balloons, straw rockets, and paper airplanes simultaneously. Once built, they’re put to the test in a heated competition!

The teambuilding ends with the give back phase of the event as everyone works together to assemble hands-on science kits for donation. While the winning team gets bragging rights, everyone wins in their support for the future of STEAM.

To close our events, we invite a representative from the beneficiary to express their gratitude and raise awareness on the impact their work has on the community. This establishes a direct connection to the cause and organization your team is supporting.
