Sharing The Fare
Recipe for Success recently partnered with Impact 4 Good, a company that specializes in corporate teambuilding programs designed to make a difference in the community, to create a new offering. “Fare to Share” is a culinary teambuilding competition where all of the food produced is distributed to local food banks. Hot food items are donated to area soup kitchens; sandwiches and snacks can be delivered to food distribution sites; and food bags can be assembled to be given to area families. “Philanthropic (culinary) teambuilding is a huge trend,” Goldstein said. “There is so much good about what these programs do. Companies are embracing them.”
Alan Ranzer, Impact 4 Good’s executive director, explained, “We created the Fare to Share program as a recipe for successful teambuilding and community service. It offers corporations a chance to mix employee training and community service in one easy-to-digest activity. It gives corporations the chance to change an unfortunate reality: Thousands of men, women and children go to sleep hungry every night throughout the U.S. To give back to the community in a way that satisfies such a basic human need is an invaluable experience.”
