Honoring Those Who Served by Supporting Homeless Veterans

As Veterans Day approaches, our hearts are grateful for the brave men and women who have safeguarded our freedom.

One of the most pressing issues facing our veterans today is homelessness. These courageous service members, deployed across the globe, risk their lives to protect our liberty. However, upon their return home, many find themselves embroiled in a new battle – one against homelessness. It is a heartbreaking reality that more than 1 in 10 homeless adults is a Veteran.

In response to this crisis, we embrace the time-honored “Stand Down” concept, born during the Vietnam War; it provides a safe haven, nourishment, and essential supplies for units returning from combat operations. Impact 4 Good facilitates customized “Stand Down for Homeless Veterans” activities where attendees generously donate basic needs and hygiene care kits for local homeless veterans. Each kit bears a handwritten message of encouragement, a beacon of hope in their time of need. This year alone, our clients have supported 3700 Veterans through kit donations.
