STEM programs (Science Technology, Engineering and Math) focus on student’s engagement and skills from the earliest grades in science, math and technology to help foster interest for their later school years and careers. The ultimate goal is to grow the proficiency level of students in sciences and mathematics. As the demand for scientists and mathematicians is projected to grow dramatically with the importance of alternative energy and global warming, the number of students going into these fields is not growing at a comparable rate.

“Pipeline” is a synergistic team development event where participants collaborate to build a large marble delivery system with interconnected segments. This program is a fast-paced teambuilding activity that will include a much-needed donation of similar science-based curriculum to a neighborhood charter school or after-school non-profit organization. Teams will be tasked with activities that support STEM education and ultimately will support students learning basic principles.

The program begins with a fun and challenging kickoff activity, which will form teams and act as a training component that plays an integral part in the latter stages of this multifaceted event. Communication and collaboration with other teams is essential! To ensure a great experience, aspects of these activities may be modified for your group size, group makeup, time available, and other variables.
