Description

Cancer cuts through boundaries of gender, race, nationality, and income. More than 1.9 million Americans develop cancer each year, which translates to almost 4 cancer diagnoses per minute.

As the activity begins, our lead facilitator asks participants to raise their hand if they have a friend or neighbor who has been impacted by cancer…a colleague…a family member…and finally, if anyone themselves has been impacted by cancer. Most often, many hands are raised in the room at this time. The facilitator provides information on the local cancer care facility and explains how the donation will support their patients.

The goal of this program is to make a heartwarming donation of bracelets to local cancer treatment facilities for distribution to patients. Each donated bracelet includes a handwritten message of support. Attendees also assemble an additional bracelet to either wear themselves or share with somebody they know who was impacted by cancer.

This activity is customizable to meet your goals and objectives, as well as logistics. We can implement the “Beads to Beat Cancer” activity in the following ways:

  • In-Person, Hybrid or Virtual activity formats
  • Philanthropic Donation Only – The base of all our programs; participants will learn about the cause and beneficiary and then get to work on the donation assembly.
  • Trivia Quiz Show – Teams earn donation materials through an interactive trivia game with cause and customizable company related content.

To close our events, we invite a representative from the beneficiary to express their gratitude and raise awareness on the impact their work has on the community. This establishes a direct connection to the cause and organization your team is supporting

We also offer “Beads to Beat Cancer” Impact Kits for a “do it yourself” activity.
