Description

This fun and interactive program can be facilitated as an in-person, hybrid or virtual program that offers a competitive game experience while raising awareness of crowdfunding microloans to underserved communities at home and abroad.

Microloans are business loans available in small amounts. They are typically geared toward entrepreneurs who can’t qualify for traditional financing, due to limited credit histories or no access to established lenders. By giving a microloan , you could help them start and expand a small business. When they pay back the loan, the money is cycled to more borrowers, getting more families on the pathway to success and away from financial insecurity!

The goal of this program is to earn points in a fast-paced, collaborative team trivia game board challenge. Strategy, communication, and trust amongst teammates are key as teams use their phones to respond to both fun and informative trivia centered on money and finance, benefits of microloans supporting underserved communities, and customized company-centric content.

Ultimately, teams use “Kiva Cards” to make microfinance loans to REAL KIVA BORROWERS! Kiva.org is a non-profit organization that is revolutionizing the fight against global poverty by enabling people to connect with and make personal loans to low-income entrepreneurs in the developing world and nationally. These small loans can empower them to earn their way out of poverty.

Ira and the Impact 4 Good team did an awesome job onsite. The attendees were laughing and having fun throughout the event. The donation element was impactful and created conversations later in the meeting about ways to continue giving back to communities in need.
