Disaster can strike quickly and without warning. It can force you to evacuate your neighborhood or confine you to your home. What would you do if basic services such as water, gas, electricity or telephones were cut off?

A national poll by Adelphi University Center for Health Innovation surveyed 1,000 Americans about their personal preparedness behaviors and the results show that we’re not ready.

  • More than half of Americans have not prepared copies of crucial documents and certificates.
  • 48% of Americans lack emergency supplies for use in the event of a disaster.
Our “Disaster Relief” teambuilding activity brings together corporate groups in an exhilarating team experience that culminates with a meaningful and worthwhile donation to a local community organization that responds to disasters.

The goal with this program is to provide regional or local beneficiaries with “Disaster Preparedness kits” that can be distributed to families to prepare them for any worst-case scenarios, each with a handwritten “message of hope” written on “Preparation Tip Cards”.

Teams earn donation materials through participation in a ballroom-size rotation of challenge activities. After scores are tallied, and winners are announced, a beneficiary representative (if available) can take the stage and thank your group for their dedication to the local community.
