Courage doesn’t end when service does. For many veterans, the toughest battles begin after returning home as they reconnect with family and rebuild stability in civilian life.

More than 200,000 service members transition to civilian life each year, and many face challenges reintegrating into work, family and community (U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs). Studies show that 1 in 4 veterans say adjusting to civilian life was somewhat difficult, and about one-third of all veterans report struggling to pay bills — a reminder that without the right support, too many veterans fall through the cracks ( Pew Research Center, 2019).

Our veterans and active-duty members need communities to rally around them while they’re away and when they return from the frontlines to remind them that we honor the courage and strength they demonstrated in protecting our freedom.

Impact 4 Good believes in honoring that courage through service — not just in November, but all year long. Join us this Veterans Day, and beyond, by giving back to our community heroes:

Donate Hygiene Kits

Help provide homeless veterans with essential hygiene care kits through Impact 4 Good’s customizable Stand Down for Veterans give-back activity. Teams compete in a military-themed challenge or interactive trivia quiz before working together to assemble hygiene care kits and personal messages of encouragement and gratitude.

Keep Families Connected

Our Deployment Connection activity helps active-duty service members and their families stay close during deployment. Teams assemble care packages that include stamps, stationary, and a cozy blanket with a video patch –  allowing deployed parents to record a personalized message for their child.

Get Veterans Back to Work

Through Employment 4 All, teams support veterans transitioning back into civilian life by recording employment advice videos and assembling customized gift boxes that include a donated laptop. This team building activity can conclude with a heartfelt message of thanks from a program beneficiary.

Let’s honor those who protect us through service that uplifts, unites and inspires.
